dynasty? LOL

under the salary cap dynasties in hockey r done

-they wont lose any of the big pieces, but they will be losing pieces. Whether Brisbois can find cheap new parts or have the farm system ripped is an unknown. Gotta be healthy too.

Habs r toast , lol. May not even make the playoffs next yr .Weber and Price twilight of their careers.

weber shocked me in Game 4-- cheap shot cross check on Nikita then lines up two of the smaller TB players. What a goof. NOT A CHANCE he wears the Canadian jersey next yr for the olympics

Tampa is in a pretty solid position considering their success. I think they may only lose some combination of Palat/Ruuta/Maroon and their farm system isn’t a total disaster. The farm system is depleted, but it isn’t bottom of the barrel like the Penguins/Bruins/Capitals.

I’m not so sure the Canadiens will fall too far. Their farm system is stacked, likely top three in the league with Ottawa/LA. They are especially loaded along the defense with four-five big prospects. They also have Keith Primeau’s kid waiting in the wings as Price’s eventual replacement. I suspect they are going to be competitive for the foreseeable future.

i agree @ TB. No big pieces gone. But dynasty? pipe dream . They r over cap. I think they let Ruuta go, Foote's time to step in. Johnson, Palat, Coleman, Goodrow all pieces that maybe headed out. Joseph has a lot of upside. I wouldnt bet agaisnt BrisBois

Habs? haha, we shall see. They have had great fortune the last two yrs-- if not for covid they likely dont make the playoffs in either yr. Certainly if not for Price they dont get past the first round in said yrs (Vs Pens, Vs Leafs). And Hab fans wanted Primeau's kid to replace a struggling mid-season Price!! @)

they got issues at the back and in goaltending (once Price calls it quits, Primeau is a hope at this point). Gustaffson /Merrill? lol, sat both for Game 4

on the upside, Suzuki and Cole proved their worth. Young guys. Anderson was a steal (nice trade columbus!!)

They've done more than a few dynasties on this list

https://www.thesportster.com/hockey/top-15-dynasties-in-nhl-history/

Different sport but the Cincinnati Reds same wins/finals appearance as the Lightning are considered a dynasty

https://thisgreatgame.com/baseball-lists-ten-greatest-baseball-dynasties/

They finished first by a country mile two seasons ago, followed by back to back cups. In a salary cap era that's as good as it gets.

Best team in hockey for several years.

no doubt. 2018-2019 best record in hockey, kaput in 4 1st round
2017-2018 semi's Vs Wash. Had them game 6 on home soil

unfortunate they didnt win with Stevie Y as GM. They certainly have had a great run, able to keep that core together. Dont think in today's NHL u can have a signifcant run without an elite goalie. A goalie can hide deficiencies........ and definetely need a front office to do it and some luck :) , the below worked out beautifully for them ;

TAMPA — Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov underwent surgery on his right hip Tuesday, and “initial indications” are that the procedure will resolve the star winger’s hip condition, the team announced Wednesday.

The surgery was performed by hip specialist Dr. Bryan Kelly at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.
As was announced earlier this month by Lightning general manager Julien BriseBois, Kucherov’s recovery and rehab are expected to keep him out through the duration of the regular season. The Lightning hope that Kucherov could return for the playoffs, which begin on May 11.
